Reunion Profile Update

Since Graduation:
Scott Hansen received his BA in History and, in 2008, earned a MA in history from Virginia Commonwealth University. His master's thesis, "Education for All: The Freedman's Bureau Schools in Richmond and Petersburg 1865 - 1870," examined the development of schools for freed slaves at the end of the Civil War. For the past 27 years Scott has been with SunTrust Bank where he is currently a First Vice President and Equity Product Manager in the bank's Consumer Lending department. He and his wife, Debby Flory Hansen '82, reside in Richmond, VA and have two sons, Bryan and Andrew. Since graduating from Washington College Scott has served on the Alumni Council, was past president of the DC Alumni Chapter, has been the class agent/correspondent for the past 15+ years, and has served on his 25th and 30th reunion committees.
